Remake Rumble: Fright Night (1985) vs Fright Night (2011)

Evil Ed vs Evil Ed

Fright Night Ed
Evil Ed in the original film (brought to life by Stephen Geoffreys) was a bizarre little asshole and I constantly questioned why Charley hung around with him. The old Evil Ed seemed like he was always up to something and plotting ways to screw Charley over. The updated version of Ed (played by Christopher Mintz-Plasse from SUPERBAD) was basically McLovin if he was more interested in horror and geeky stuff than chicks. While I enjoyed every bad thing that happened to oldskool Ed, I was a bit bummed when things started to go sideways for nuEd. The new Ed wins anyway because Stephen Geoffreys has been losing at life on the regular.
Advantage: Fright Night ’11

  1. I honestly think the 1985 Jerry was better becuase he was hotter and something girls could like, the new jerry just looked like a predator/rapist.
