Wishful Casting: The Female Expendables Movie

With the announcement that there will be an all female Expendables-type film made many a movie fan began doing their own wishful casting. Most of the suggestions were along the same lines as the original Expendables casting and seemed to focus on seasoned action starlets like Sigourney Weaver, Linda Hamilton and Pam Grier. A curveball was thrown to aspiring casting directors everywhere when Gina Carano and Katee Sackhoff were announced as the first actresses to be signed for the film. So using those two ladies being selected as my inspiration of where I think this film is going casting-wise I came up with my own list.

The Walking Dead Season 3 Week 1: Blossoming Love During the Zombie Apocalypse

The one takeaway that I got from the season premiere of The Walking Dead was that love was definitely in the air. The slow build continues for Carol and Darryl as the twosome have gone from an icky mother/son vibe to something playful and flirty that doesn’t skeeve me out. Then there is the budding May/December romance between tweenager Carl and teenager Beth. Why has it taken so long for somebody to do a mashup of everyone’s favorite serial killer and my own personal favorite boy genius? The fine folks over at Screenjunkies realized the vacuum in pop culture that this was and filled it by creating this amalgamation of Showtime’s Dexter and Cartoon Network’s Dexter’s Laboratory complete with a Deb/Dee Dee hybrid of annoyance.
