The Good:
Jeffrey Combs owns every frame of this movie and doesn’t give an inch to anyone he shares the screen with. Alternating between sadistic elitist prick and cultured elitist jackass, Combs is fantastic as the twisted billionaire who plays with human beings like a child plays with toy cars.
The movie also delivers a one-two punch in the “big Twist” department.
This movie also features the 2012 winner of the Dick Halloran Worst Rescuer Ever award and it was a hoot and a half to watch what happens.

The Bad:
It would have been nice to get a bit more of a look at the lives of the rest of dinner party guests before they arrived at the party instead of getting drips and drabs of their backstory delivered in throw away lines once the horrific festivities began. It would have made it harder to watch bad things befall them if the audience actually had reason to care about them.

The Ugly
If ever you find yourself at a rich dudes house for a Hostel-inspired dinner party, it would be prudent to shut off all instincts towards gallantry. Because what happens to the more gallant fellas in this movie is just rough.

Final Verdict: WOULD YOU RATHER shows that sometimes all you need is one room, a wonderful performance from a genre veteran and a creepy premise to make a quality horror flick.
