The Good:
The concept is a good one (this idea seems perfect for an episode of DOCTOR WHO in more than just it’s name) and the actors are all game and deliver nice performances especially Joanne Kelly (a favorite of mine from the Syfy TV series WAREHOUSE 13) and Zack Ward who has the most realistic reaction to the bizarre shenanigans happening around that I have seen in a horror film in quite a while.

The Bad:
tends to not even follow its own established continuity to the point that it becomes an exercise in futility for the audience to even try to care because the folks behind the movie don’t seem to give a damn about their own rules. Also a twist in the latter half of the film makes no sense but is incredibly intriguing and could have used a bit of time to expand on it but the film chucks it in the garbage and goes right back to the stuff that had stopped working.

The Ugly:
The idea that two people would take the time to go have a quickie while all of their friends and loved ones are mysteriously vanishing into thin air is just dumbfounding. If the movie wanted a sex scene they should have stuck it in before all the bad stuff began happening.

Final Verdict: DON’T BLINK features good acting and a really decent concept but it just doesn’t deliver in the execution. It is not creepy enough, not scary enough and just falls apart at the midway point and never really finds a way to right the ship. Valiant effort but not successful.
