The Good:
I was legitimately amused at any scenes that featured the Non-Perishables in all of their stereotypical glory and at the absolute over the top raunchy ridiculousness of the gigantic food orgy at the end of the movie.

The Bad:
Aside from the two things I mentioned above, SAUSAGE PARTY was shamefully light on the funny. It was rude, crude and raunchy but sadly it wasn’t funny and considering it is billed as a comedy that is a major flaw.

The Ugly:
Despite it being admirable for the folks behind SAUSAGE PARTY to tackle an actual thought provoking topic (the questioning of religion and faith) by using raunchy humor, making an attempt to do what SOUTH PARK has done so well for so long and failing at it doesn’t give you any brownie points.

Final Verdict: SAUSAGE PARTY is an unfunny mess of a movie that attempts to use politically incorrect humor to tackle a hot button topic but drops the ball spectacularly. To paraphrase Lloyd Bentsen: SAUSAGE PARTY, I watch SOUTH PARK. I love SOUTH PARK. SOUTH PARK is one of my favorite shows. SAUSAGE PARTY, you’re no SOUTH PARK.
