The season finale of SPARTACUS: VENGEANCE has come and gone and in it’s wake left a swath of destruction that can only be described as (George R. R.) Martinian. A total of 6 primary cast members were sent to the afterlife with reckless abandon in the shocking season finale. The show is definitely hitting the reset button for next season with so many familiar faces getting the ax and it has me more excited for the upcoming season than I thought I would be for this show after Andy Whitfield’s death and the loss of John Hannah’s Quentis Batiatus.
So let’s get Boyz II Men’s “It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye (To Yesterday)” on the jukebox, put mouse to purpose and click the link below to take a look at all those we have lost. Be warned though, there be spoilers aplenty if you haven’t watched the episode yet

The slippery and devious former slave has evaded death on numerous occasions until he made the decision to face Naevia of all people in one-on-one combat. Being the cocky douche that he is, Ashur had to gloat instead of just finishing her off which led to his getting his head hacked off by his former victim.
Turns out Lucretia was completely insane all along and had been working on a deranged scheme to steal Ilythia’s unborn child to take with her as her own to the afterlife so that she and her husband could become the family they were never able to be in this life. So she hacked that kid right out of Ilythia’s womb and threw herself and the kid off a cliff.
Ilythia succumbed to the blood loss caused by Loony Lucretia cutting her baby out of her so she could steal it. If only Ilythia’s water hadn’t broke when it did since she was just seconds away from shoving Lucretia over the cliff herself before things went south for her.
In a showdown that was a long time coming, Claudius Glaber finally paid for all of the sins he committed against Spartacus when Spartacus shoved his sword down Glaber’s throat.
