The Good:
I loved the premise of this film and the younger actors in the cast were all very capable (especially Jessica Parker Kennedy who stood out as spunky bad girl Estelle) with a decent amount of chemistry between them as a group. Also Mark Pellegrino was great as the sadistic head of the camp with a Hitler haircut and 70’s porn mustache.

The Bad:
The way the camp employees were presented as a bunch of abusive deviant S&M perverts was a bit too over the top to be taken seriously and not nearly funny enough to qualify as comic relief.
I also found it a bit hard to buy that the little nerdy kid from that TV show SMART GUY had grown up to be a surly hoodlum.

The Ugly
This movie must have run out of money because the editing was choppy and scattershot as all hell. there was also a series of scenes in a dark, dungeon like hospital that seemed to be tacked on at the last minute and took about $45 to produce.
Also actors seemed to just disappear for long stretches of time with only cursory explanations as to their fates. It was almost as if their checks bounced and they refused to finish filming.
And the ending was possibly the biggest pile of confusing bullshit ever put on film.

Final Verdict: A promising premise with a pretty decent cast that starts off alright but completely goes off the rails and ends up becoming a colossal train wreck that would be a perfect entry into a reboot of MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000. If ever a movie set itself up to be ridiculed this is it and it would be greatly deserved.

  1. Elisabeth Harnois is Morgan Brody on CSI and Mark Pellegrino played Lucifer on Supernatural. I guess they were slumming with this one.

    1. Must have been…I didn’t realize Elizabeth Harnois was on a series nowadays. I remember her from this awful supernatural series on Fox in the mid 2000s that lasted less than a season. I think she was playing a teenager back then too.

      1. It was pretty horrible…think they were going for a supernatural soap vibe but I liked her in it.
