Am I the only one who still has trouble buying Chris Evans as Captain America? He is a good actor and I really enjoy him in movies where he is a bit of a wisecracking, devil-may-care type (like in the FANTASTIC FOUR films and THE LOSERS) but he just hasn’t shown anywhere near the gravitas I think is necessary to embody Cap. His boyishness worked in the first film and there was more than enough other stuff in THE AVENGERS that it didn’t bother me but this trailer doesn’t make me think any differently about Evans in the role. And what is up with all of the shots of Evans in plain clothes wielding his shield? Outside of full Captain America uniform he looks a bit goofy running around in a jeans and a member’s Only jacket slinging an indestructible shield.
Not to be a total complainer here, I did like the shot of the Falcon and the Winter Soldier looks pretty cool especially that last shot of the trailer where the Soldier catches the shield after Cap throws it at him.
