Doctor Who Needs More Time Lords

The Monk

the-meddling-monk
Who? The Monk (sometimes referred to as The Meddling Monk) was a childhood friend of The Doctor’s during their time at school together. While The Doctor is more focused on exploring the universe and helping people, The Monk prefers interfering in major moments in history purely for his own amusement. He would even go so far as to ally himself with The Dalek’s despite their being mortal enemies of The Time Lords.

The Monk, aside from being a former friend of The Doctor’s, also works in an opposite manner than the Doctor with his manipulating and interfering in order to change how a society is supposed to develop. It would be cool to take that a bit further and have him take on Companions to aid him in his bid to manipulate history. The last The Monk was seen he was trapped on an ice planet unable to escape because his own TARDIS was sabotaged by The Doctor. That was way back during the 1st Doctor’s hey day so I don’t see why a smart guy like The Monk wouldn’t have been able to figure out a way to escape his icy prison and start meddling in the affairs of sentient beings all over the universe again.
Casting Suggestions: Mark Addy (GAME OF THRONES)/John Hannah (SPARTACUS)/ Hugh Laurie (HOUSE)

  1. Omega scared the $*~£ out of me as a kid, Now with the Time Lords back there is a good chance they will find a few baddies, The Rani (Kate O’Mara sadly missed) and oh so many more

    1. I loved Omega and his megalomania. He was a really great baddie.

And the Rani was great because she was played with such awesome 80s high camp by Kate O’Mara. it was like Alexis from Dynasty was revealed to be an evil Time Lady.
      Thanks for commenting, btw!
