Short Shrift Theater: Steadfast Stanley

This is one of the most heartwarming animated shorts I have seen in a while despite all of the animated corpses traipsing around. Not even the zombie apocalypse can keep a faithful dog away from his beloved master. I also loved the animation especially the scraggly lined drawings of the zombies. And Stanley is just the best cartoon doggie ever!

Short Shrift Theater: The Jockstrap Raiders


THE JOCKSTRAP RAIDERS is the 19 minute UCLA thesis animated film of Mark Nelson, the story – which took 5 years to complete (part time) – takes place during World War I in Leeds, England where a group of underdog misfits are excluded from the war due to various abnormalities. Threatened by the invading German Kaiser and his army, the must learn to become a team and overcome their deficiencies in order to save Britain and the world.
