Favorite Bond Villain: Ernst Stavro Blofeld

Blofeld embodied all of the things I look for in my Bond villains. He is larger than life and oh so very over the top from his bald head/facial scar combo to his pet cat that he lovingly strokes while plotting world domination. Number 1 (his designation in the secret villainous organization known as SPECTRE) was a legit supervillain and the absolute best adversary to James Bond.
My personal favorite version of the character was portrayed by the always enjoyable Donald Pleasance but even when less awesome actors played the role (heck I even liked the Telly Savalas version of Blofeld) I was still right on board. And the impact that this character has had on pop culture cannot be ignored with influences being felt in everything from Inspector Gadget to Austin Powers.

Favorite Bond song: A View to a Kill. The only good thing to ever come from Paul McCartney’s time with Wings.
Uh, Derek, I hate to tell you this but Duran Duran sang A View to a Kill. Paul McCartney and Wings did Live and Let Die.

Good catch! I’d written an earlier draft that had A View To A Kill as my song choice then switched to Live and Let Die but I must have had a brain fart and forgot to edit when I copied it over from Word.
Thanks!
