The Good:
GRABBERS is one of the most fun horror movies I have seen in a while. The comedy blends with the scary in just the right way without one overwhelming the other. It also doesn’t hurt that a good chunk of the cast is made up of some of my favorites from British TV (notably Russell Tovey from the UK version of BEING HUMAN). And the twist of the towns folk having to get monumentally blitzed as a defense against the monsters was a nice touch and provided some really funny scenes.
I was also impressed with the effects for the grabbers. This is not a big budget film but they made sure the creatures looked really spiffy.

The Bad:
As much as I enjoyed this movie I would have been a much happier camper to see a higher body count and a smidge more gore.

The Ugly:
Whoever decided that the baby grabbers would have goatse (look it up if you are brave enough) mouths is a very disturbed individual.

Final Verdict: A nice horror/comedy mash-up that gets by on charm and an overall sense of fun. If you like monster movies and Ireland then this is the flick for you.

Rating: B
