The Daily Nerdgasm: Remember Amalgam Comics?

amalgamcomics
Remember when Marvel Comics and DC Comics had their big MARVEL VS DC crossover event that led into the combined universe of AMALGAM COMICS? I enjoyed those books and it seems like a million years ago that the two comic companies had a good enough relationship that they would actually work together to put out such a massive joint effort.
Well, artist Eric Guzman remembers and at his DeviantArt page he has done some really cool amalgamations of DC/Marvel characters. Click onward to see some of the ones I liked best.

  1. Thundergod’s pretty sweet, have to agree. Although I would *love* to hear Spiderbat’s origin . . . he got bit by genetically engineered bat who had not quite digested a radioactive spider. Or he got bit by a radioactive bat and while he was sleeping, a genetically altered spider crawled in his mouth. Either way . . .

    1. I would love to see the comic where Peter Wayne (Bruce Parker?) gets bitten by a radioactive bat and then swallows a genetically altered spider in his sleep. Hopefully Greg Capullo would be available too draw it.

    1. I didn’t get why he chose the Creeper to be mashed up with Wolverine…that seemed like a really left field choice.
