Truer words have never spoken and those words ring very true especially once you feast your eyes on Reddit user CarlosDanger100’s little project, CAGE OF THRONES, where he has PhotoShopped noted thespian Nicolas Cage’s face onto cast members from GAME OF THRONES. Some of them are hysterically bad, some of them are just hysterical (Cage as Ramsey holding a sausage), some are pretty freaking unnerving (Cage as Sansa will give me nightmares for months) and some really work (Cage’s Stannis looks great). The Scream TV Series May End Up Being Awful But I Am Liking MTV’s Marketing For It

MTV’s SCREAM series has a lot of heavy lifting to do to overcome all the things I see as being wrong with it just from reports and the trailer. No Ghostface mask (the killer is wearing a freaking hoodie!), trying to stretch out a slasher film over 10 episodes of weekly television, the overwhelmingly white cast. But all is not lost.

Finally! A Crystal Clear Version Of The Batman V Superman Teaser Trailer

After a flurry of activity over the past couple of days that saw an announcement of the BvS teaser showing this Monday at select IMAX theaters and then a leak that saw a blurry camera phone video of an international version of the trailer (which I posted here), director Zack Snyder has seen the light and dropped a beautiful HD version of the teaser and it is magnificent!

An admission, I am a much bigger Star Trek fan than I am a Star Wars one…I love Star Wars but not as much as I love Trek. However, I am extremely excited to see what someone besides George Lucas will do with Star Wars and I have confidence that JJ Abrams will give us something fun and interesting especially based off of this latest trailer that just knocked my socks off.

Today has been a day of teaser trailers out the whazoo (from the latest STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS clip to a snazzy teaser for Quentin Tarantino’s HATEFUL EIGHT) and in the case of BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE we got a teaser for a teaser it seems. I love artist Kerry Callen’s blog especially his running series called ‘Super Antics’ that shows classic heroes (most often Superman) in funny daily comic strip style hijinks. His latest is a team-up between Superman and Wonder Woman that explains why a bulletproof hero like Wondy decides to deflect bullets with her bracelets instead of letting them bounce off her.

Alien Tampon…Nuff Said

So, a bunch of horror loving German filmmakers got together and made this trailer basically as a proof of concept that their idea of a movie about an alien infused tampon that creates an army of monsters could work as a film and that German filmmakers were capable of making quality horror. It also proves that the beer over in Deutschland is strong as a mofo because this is one of the wackiest ideas for a movie I have seen since ZOMBEAVERS. Its like something that you just assume Troma had already made in the 80s. Check out the trailer after the cut.

Check Out The Teaser For Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk’s New Show: Con Man

A little backstory…Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion (co-stars in the short-lived series FIREFLY) went to crowdfunding to get some loot to make their series about an actor who used to be on a popular sci-fi series and now makes his living by appearing at genre conventions. The campaign was started on March 10th and quickly accumulated over $1 million. So in light of that rapid success, the guys put together a teaser video to whet fans appetites.

I have wanted a plastic simulation of the maniacal mom (in the likeness of the amazing Betsy Palmer) to decorate my desk and now I only have to wait a little bit longer.
