Alliser Thorne – GAME OF THRONES
Alliser Thorne was the master-of-arms at Castle Black when Jon Snow joined the Night’s Watch. Thorne took an immediate dislike to Snow, setting him against his fellow recruits. He was also very mean to Samwell Tarly and anyone who is mean to Sam is a bit of a dick. After the failed White Walker attack on Lord Commander Mormont, Alliser was ordered to take the severed frozen hand of one of the Wights to King’s Landing to warn the rest of the kingdoms that the White Walkers had returned. Now I get that it is a long way from Castle Black to King’s Landing but Alliser headed out on his trek in Season One and we have not had one scene of him on his journey. I don’t think anyone has even mentioned him either.

Like Tracy in Coronation Street who vanish to her room to listen to ‘tapes’ a child and emerged years later a teenageer\woman.

A similar thing sort of happened on US soap opera All My Children where Bobby Martin went upstairs to get his skis and was never heard from again.
