Trailer of the Day: The Town That Dreaded Sundown

65 years after a masked serial killer terrorized the small town of Texarkana, the so-called ‘moonlight murders’ begin again. Is it a copycat or something even more sinister? A lonely high school girl, with dark secrets of her own, may be the key to catching him. – IMDb

My Gid this movie looks tense! I am prompted to check my doors and windows to make sure they are locked just from the trailer alone! A so-called “meta-remake” of the low-budget 1976 slasher movie of the same name, THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN looks like it will finally be the type of horror movie that I will want to see more than once and one of those times will probably be on Halloween night. It has been quite a while since a decent horror movie was released in October so it is about time.
And if you are an old fart like me, you have to admit to a slight giddy feeling at seeing that Orion Pictures logo pop up at the beginning of this trailer. My youth was spent watching many awesome movies from Orion and it is good to see the studio is back in business.
