John Saxon (Lt. Thompson)
At the time of being cast as Nancy’s skeptical police officer father, John Saxon was the most well known member of the NIGHTMARE cast having been acting since the 1950s.
Saxon appeared twice more in the NIGHTMARE franchise (in A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS and NEW NIGHTMARE) as well as continuing to make steady appearances on many TV shows and films. Saxon continues to act to this day with at least 3 films either already released or soon to be released in 2014.
