Good, Bad & Ugly Review: I, Frankenstein

Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 3% (Critics) / 40% (Audience)
Directed By: Stuart Beattie
Written By: Stuart Beattie and Kevin Grevioux

The Good:
To paraphrase the immortal Phil Hartman from one of his best SNL skits:
So that about sums up whether there was anything good about this movie.

The Bad:
There is just too much bad to list because I would be here all day but let’s just sum it up with the fact that the subject matter is stupid, the script is shoddy, the FX looks cheap and all of the performances are phoned in. Also the good guy Gargoyle faction ll look like they ransacked the leftover costume trunk from THE LORD OF THE RINGS films.
And the movie has that same generic UNDERWORLD look to it that just screams “this movie is utter shite!” the second you see it.

The Ugly:
Why exactly was Aaron Eckhart slumming in a movie this bad? Well at least he got into crazy good shape as part of this ordeal.

Final Verdict:There is not one redeeming thing about this film. it is a waste of time to watch and it was an even bigger waste of time (and money!) that it was made in the first place. Everyone involved should try to get it removed from their resumes.

Grade: F

  1. I do not hide the fact that instead of graciously accepting my friend request on Facebook Yvonne Strahovski decided to report me. After reading your review of I, Frankenstein and its 3% F Rating all I can say is that karma sure is a bitch.

      1. Lol! Add to that the fact that she starred in one of the worst finales ever with the last episode of Dexter.
