It tickles me to no end that Ryan Reynolds’ pet cat would be pushing for him to be a serial killer while his dog would be a supportive pseudo-enabler. House cats are just malevolent creatures who would kill us all if they were just a tiny bit bigger and dogs just want to make you happy.
And this movie looks hilarious! I am a fan of darkly humorous, accidental serial killer comedies (yes it is a sub-genre of film whether anyone wants to admit it or not…EATING RAUL is still the pinnacle of the oeuvre for me) and Reynolds seems to be putting his innate goofiness to good use. Plus I am automatically interested in any movie that features Gemma Arterton. Even if it is just her severed head.
