When I saw this trailer I kept thinking that it was for a movie that had already come out and a little investigating proved me right. This movie was started in 2009 by PARANORMAL ACTIVITY’s Oren Peli; there were re-writes in 2011; then re-shoots in 2013 and some more tinkering not long after. Now it is finally set to premiere exclusively at Alamo Drafthouse theaters and on VOD on May 15th. So it has had a very long journey to its release and I have to admit, that for a “found footage” movie, it looks to be a bit more high concept.

We are getting a bonafide alien hunting down its victims in the infamous Area 51 base and there looks to be scenes on a space ship, some snazzy looking effects and even protagonists who seem to be bright (aside from the whole voluntarily sneaking onto an army base full of space aliens) instead of the dim bulbs that usually make up these types of movies.
