Jack Nicholson – Batman

Nicholson’s Joker also looked like the traditional Joke as far as costuming. He wore the natty suit (in purple not pink!), spats , gloves and even a snazzy hat. But what set Nicholson’s Joker apart from his predecessor was the distorted smile he bore at all times thanks to the talents of make-up designer Nick Dudman. Dudman created what was dubbed the “rictor grin” and it really brought the comic book character to life in ways that it wouldn’t have worked with just some white face paint and lipstick.
