Jared Leto – Suicide Squad

Leto’s Joker is the most different looking from the comic than any that came before him. He is pale but not chalk white; he is tatted up like a thuggish convict who has allowed a fellow inmate to practice on him using safety pins and ballpoint pen ink; his teeth are rotted and gross; his hair looks to be in a short military style cut and most of all he looks twisted as a motherfucker.
I know that this look is going to cause some of the more sensitive traditionalists to clutch their pearls and take to the blogs/message boards/Twitter to express their outrage that he “doesn’t look like The Joker!” but I say he looks like what I imagine a Joker who has spent considerable time in prison might look like. And he looks demented and at the end of the day demented is pretty much the main thing I need in the character. Plus the fact that he has a robin tattoo is such a douchebag move if The Joker has accomplished this act in the movie universe.
