In the heat of the summer. A lonesome house in the countryside between woods and corn fields. Nine-year-old twin brothers are waiting for their mother. When she comes home, bandaged after cosmetic surgery, nothing is like before. The children start to doubt that this woman is actually their mother. It emerges an existential struggle for identity and fundamental trust. – Source
GOODNIGHT MOMMY is the latest horror flick to get the crazy hype treatment and, while I am going to try to refrain from hopping aboard the hype train after being a bit underwhelmed by the last couple movies to be called “THE SCARIEST HORROR MOVIE OF THE YEAR!”, I do admit to being very intrigued by this one. For one thing, the movie’s cinematography looks amazing and there is just something super-creepy about the entire set up with “Mommy” all bandaged up and those weird twin little boys being up to shenanigans. I have made an educated guess as to what the gist of the movie is and I really hope I am wrong but I will just have to wait until I can watch it in September to see if my powers of deduction are on point.
It’s “The Not So Suite Life of Zack and Cody.”
