The Daily Nerdgasm: Artist Recreation of Ant-Man Movie Test Footage

Back at the San Diego Comic Con, director Edgar Wright debuted the test footage he shot for his upcoming Ant-Man movie (still can’t believe that Ant-Man is getting a movie before The Flash and Wonder Woman) and it was raved about to no end by the select few who wwere able to squeeze into the showroom to see it. And of course all of us that were not able to schlep out to San Diego have been eager to see just what all the fuss is about but neither Marvel or Wright has seen fit to share the footage with the public at large.
Well fear not, true believers! A talented artist and comics fan, Samurai Jack, decided to do a shot for shot remake using his own artistic talent and his memory of what he saw at the San Diego Con. And let me tell ya something…this looks pretty damn spiffy as just animated line art which makes me want to see the live action footage that Wright shot even more.
So click on through to the other side to see one artist’s representation of what we have all been missing. Trust me its way cooler than anything having to do with Ant-Man has any right to be.

The New Season of DC Nation Returns Tomorrow!

It has felt like more than just a few months since the last new episodes of Young Justice: Invasion (the best animated super-hero toon since Justice League Unlimited) and Green Lantern: The Animated Series were aired but the two shows will begin airing new eps tomorrow morning as part of the Cartoon Network’s DC Nation block of programming. And its not just these two shows that are coming back; we will also get more new DC shorts which have been just as much fun as the actual full length shows. Joining the returning Super Best Friends Forever, the Aardman Shorts, and Teen Titans Go! will be Batman of Shanghai, Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld and Justice League of Animals.
I guarantee I will be in my PJ’s in front of the TV Saturday morning with a bowl of Apple Jacks just like when I was a little kid.
