My Picks For The 3 Lead Roles In True Detective Season 2

true-detective
We have recently been getting more details about the second season of HBO’s TRUE DETECTIVES like the casting rumors (Jessica Chastain is in! No she’s not! Brad Pitt has been signed! No he hasn’t! Christian Bale turns down lead role!) and word from the show’s creator of the cast make-up:

Unofficial breakdowns floated around have listed the three leads as a fortysomething male detective/cop with Joaquin Phoenix, Christian Bale and Josh Brolin as prototypes, a twentysomething male cop and a thirtysomething female detective, with Jessica Chastain as a potential prototype.

So with that main cast breakdown in mind I decided to do a little wishful casting and put together my dream team of actors for TRUE DETECTIVE Season 2.

Pacific Rim Is My 2nd Most Anticipated Movie of 2013

pacrim
I am geeking out for this movie! Giant Robots piloted by humans as they fight against giant monsters…anyone else immediately think that this is just Voltron (the version with the space cars not the cats) under a different name? Not that there is anything wrong with that mind you. The premise for Pacific Rim is just ridiculously cool, it has a very appealing cast and it is from the mind of Guillermo del Toro. If Man of Steel wasn’t coming out in the same year I would be majorly obsessed with this movie above all others.
So here I have gathered all of the goodies I have found across the Internetz pertaining to Pacific Rim in one place from the trailer to the viral vids to the promo images.

5 Underrated UK Shows You Should Check Out

LUTHER

If you are a fan of Idris Elba and have wanted to see him in something more like his breakout role as Stringer Bell in the amazing HBO series The Wire (as opposed to playing Nicolas Cage’s sidekick in Ghost Rider or his thankless role in Prometheus) then I suggest you seek out his amazing psychological crime-drama Luther.
Detective Chief Inspector John Luther is an absolute mental mess of a man who has no issues with cutting corners or doing shady things in order to close a case. And the relationship between Luther and suspected murderer Alice Morgan (played remarkably by Ruth Wilson) is one of the most intriguing I have seen on an TV show. Luther and Morgan’s sexually charged game of cat-and-mouse drives most of the first season of the show and would be more than enough to justify watching the show.

Is The World Ready For A Black James Bond?

Puff Daddy/Diddy
No, no, hell to the no! Bond is not for you, Mr. P Diddy Puff Daddy Puff Combs!

There have been rumors circulating for a while now that actor Idris Elba could be up for the role of James Bond when Daniel Craig leaves the franchise. Now I know that there will be those who consider a black Bond to be the greatest affront to life, liberty and the Queen since the rise of the Spice Girls. This is especially borne out by the alarming racist reactions to the casting of black actors in the HUNGER GAMES movie. I personally say balderdash to the naysayers because there are 3 black Brit actors that I think have all the necessary joie de vivre to pull off the role of Bond successfully.
