01. DAWN OF THE DEAD – Peter

Threw ya for a loop with Lando being #2 huh? While Lando is great he aint got shit-all on Peter. A former member of SWAT, Peter joins up with three white people in a shopping mall during the zombie apocalypse. While initially being the token black guy in this little makeshift family it eventually becomes very evident that Peter is actually the star of the movie. He seems to be running things for the majority of the film and shock of all shocks he lives at the end. The scene where Peter contemplates shooting himself after he sends Francine to the safety of the helicopter and the zombies bust into the mall would have been good enough if he did eat his gun but when he decides he wants to live and makes a mad dash through a mall full of zombies en route to the roof…well that is just classic stuff. He whoops some serious zombie ass on his way to that snow bunny.

There have been token Black Guys Since the History of Movies..But some of these guys are not just tokens.,They only hang around White’s off the set. I’m saying you don’t see alot of them at any Black function.like the soul Train awards or any affair given by Black Ent…

Well a couple of them you don’t see period because their careers have dried up, they have retired, or they are dead.

Die Hard, Alien and Ghostbusters didn’t seem like tokens to me tbh.

I disagree with the following with explanation: Al from Die Hard. Really?! He is not the token black guy when there are other black guys that played in that movie(remember the computer guy for Han’s team, or the driver for McClane or Little Johnson(FBI)? So no on Al, who was a great guy in that movie. One consideration, Tyreese’s part in those bad Transoformer movies, Billy Dee in Tim Burton’s Batman(DA Dent). Actually anything Billy Dee was in w/o Diana Ross or James Earl Jones.
