The 10 Best Token Black Guys in Movie History

05. ALIEN – Parker (Yaphet Kotto)

Parker was the only black person out in space and he hated every second of it and was always griping about how underpaid he was. Parker was also the only member of the crew of the Nostormos who didn’t think it was a bright idea to go investigating random signals in space. Well with hindsight being 20/20, Parker was definitely right. The poor guy almost made it off the ship too but he had the misfortune of being paired with the most useless member of the crew who didn’t have the sense to get out of Parker’s line of fire when the alien showed up and that bad bit of luck got Parker some alien teeth to the dome.

  1. There have been token Black Guys Since the History of Movies..But some of these guys are not just tokens.,They only hang around White’s off the set. I’m saying you don’t see alot of them at any Black function.like the soul Train awards or any affair given by Black Ent…

  3. I disagree with the following with explanation: Al from Die Hard. Really?! He is not the token black guy when there are other black guys that played in that movie(remember the computer guy for Han’s team, or the driver for McClane or Little Johnson(FBI)? So no on Al, who was a great guy in that movie. One consideration, Tyreese’s part in those bad Transoformer movies, Billy Dee in Tim Burton’s Batman(DA Dent). Actually anything Billy Dee was in w/o Diana Ross or James Earl Jones.
