The 10 Best Token Black Guys in Movie History

04. GHOSTBUSTERS – Winston Zeddmore (Ernie Hudson)

Can someone tell me just what the hell purpose Winston served on the Ghostbusters squad? Did the Ghostbusters need to meet a quota in order to continue getting business from the city of New York? Honestly, as I think back I cannot come up with one quality that Winston brought to the team that wasn’t already being represented by the other three dudes. The only reason he is so high on this list is that he is pretty much the dictionary definition of a token and he is played by the always awesome Ernie Hudson.

  1. There have been token Black Guys Since the History of Movies..But some of these guys are not just tokens.,They only hang around White’s off the set. I’m saying you don’t see alot of them at any Black function.like the soul Train awards or any affair given by Black Ent…

  3. I disagree with the following with explanation: Al from Die Hard. Really?! He is not the token black guy when there are other black guys that played in that movie(remember the computer guy for Han’s team, or the driver for McClane or Little Johnson(FBI)? So no on Al, who was a great guy in that movie. One consideration, Tyreese’s part in those bad Transoformer movies, Billy Dee in Tim Burton’s Batman(DA Dent). Actually anything Billy Dee was in w/o Diana Ross or James Earl Jones.
