In a new comic book called “Afterlife with Archie“, written by a writer from Glee, the zombie virus infects Riverdale (home of Archie, Jughead and the rest of the crew). Here is how it goes down:
Jughead’s beloved pooch Hotdog is run over by Reggie in his roadster. He convinces Sabrina to hatch a spell to bring back the pooch, but when Hotdog bites Jughead, he soon craves flesh.
Once Jughead becomes a member of the walking dead I think it may be time to pack up the zombie genre and lock it away for a while. The Walking Dead can stick around but everyone needs to start focusing on another horror staple. Maybe mummies or gargoyles are ripe for a revival.

Now you have me eager to buy the comic just to see if the rest of the Archie-verse shows up to help the Riverdale gang kill zombies.

You know, I may have to pick this up myself. It’ll either be really fun or a huge train wreck of catacylsmic proportions. It’s almost like fan fiction somehow crossing the reality double center lines.
