Reason #2 That It Rocks: Ya Can’t Go Wrong with a Little Scatman Crothers

ZAPPED! also featured the gargantuan acting prowess of Scatman Cothers in a supporting role as Baio and Aames’ baseball coach. I do nothing to hide my unabashed fanboyism for mr. Crothers and any time he is in a movie that film automatically shoots up a couple rungs on my quality ladder. And if Scatman wasn’t enough we also got LaWanda Page (Aunt Esther from SANFORD & SON) as Scatman’s wife. That is a one-two punch that I am physically incapable of not loving to death. Plus this surreal marijuana fueled fantasy sequence is about the goofiest damn thing I have ever seen:
