Daryl
Daryl? Is the author of this post some kind of maniac? Why on Earth would anyone think Daryl is primed for the slaughter? Well I am glad you asked me that question. As much as I like Daryl and he is definitely a fan favorite I am of the mind that Daryl has become expendable in the grand scheme of things. His main purpose on the show and in the group is as Rick’s lieutenant but right now the gig as rick’s right hand has a lot of applicants. we have Michonne who is bonding with Rick and Carl on their sojourn towards Terminus, Tyreese has grown enough as a character to finally be ready to take over the role as Rick’s BFF like he was in the comics, Carol would be the perfect counterpoint to Rick in that she is much more practical as well as being quite kick-ass in her own right, and then there is Abraham who is a very larger than life personality who I can see falling into line under Rick’s leadership really quickly once they get to know one another. So with all of these alpha males and females around it creates a situation where Daryl is not as integral to the group’s survival. Plus killing a character as popular as Daryl would once again raise the stakes of the show and keep fans on their toes since it would make it seem like anyone is liable to be killed off at any time.

Weigh this thought: what if the person to die in the season finale were Rick Grimes himself? Before the penultimate episode there were three episodes in a row in which Rick made no appearance at all. This could have been a test to see if people would still watch without him. Also, Andrew Lincoln is the guest on Talking Dead for the first time ever after the finale. It has been mentioned that a lot of people have made their way onto that couch after their demise on the show. Just throwing that one out there, Derek.

Y’know now that you mention it this second half of the season has been remarkably light on Rick Grimes. If they were to actually kill that character off it would blow the collective minds of every fan who watches this show because I think the 2 sacred cows that people think are bullet proof would be Rick and Carl.

Bob’s a goner, possibly Carol. Both had their moment in the spotlight this year. But yeah, definitely Bob.

Of everyone mentioned I am most confident in Bob getting killed off. I would say I am at 98% sure that he is a goner.

Maggie and Glenn are safe; at least until Maggie gets pregnant, because that is totally happening. After that, Glenn is fair game.
I feel like Tyreese may be expendable as well, but with how little they have used him so far, versus the books, I don’t think they’d kill him off yet. Not until he has his moment.

As much as I would hate to lose the character I would enjoy the overwhelming online freakout it would cause.
