I have to admit to being really all that enthused with every tidbit that has come out about this movie over the past year from the casting, to the rumored storyline, to the asinine title of the movie (Genisys? What the hell is up with that stupid spelling?) and I was completely prepared to hate this movie with all the kneejerk nerd rage I could muster.
Then I watched the trailer.
I am now a card carrying booster of TERMINATOR GENISYS! This movie looks like everything I have ever wanted in an action movie and everything I have been missing from the lackluster sequels in this franchise following the incredible first two films. Sure there are some issues…The Khaleesi looks like the junior high version of Sarah Connor; Jason Clark looks like an account who was in a bad car accident more than the battle hardened adult John Connor I always envisioned; and just how many versions of the Schwarzenegger Terminator make appearances in this movie?
But all of that falls away in the face of the awesome action scenes this trailer teases us with. I am now officially jazzed for this movie and can’t wait till I can get into a movie theater to see it.
