Thomas Cruise Mapother IV may continue to get a collective side-eye from the majority of movie-goers but he is still my absolute favorite action movie star working today. This opinion gets cemented even more every time I watch one of his MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE movies and this latest installment looks positively amazing. The stunts, the seemingly bumped up roles for Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin at his blustery best and newcomer Vanessa Ferguson ably filling the femme fatale who can kick butt role. I even liked the stripped down version of The Fugees ‘Ready or Not’.
