Favorite New Who 3rd Wheel: Rory Williams (Arthur Darville)

I was not a fan of Amy Pond but I really liked her (much) better half. Rory was an awesome character who had a real hero’s journey. From his start as the put upon, awkward and mildly jealous boyfriend to a comically wonderful inadvertent action hero. The guy made Amy tolerable, brightened up every second of every scene he was in and was the glue that held the traveling crew of the Eleventh Doctor together. The “Boy Who Waited” was an unassuming star but he was definitely the biggest and brightest one out of all the people who traveled on the Tardis with him.
