Favorite New Who Villain: Empty Child

I loved New Who from the second I saw The Doctor running from evil aline mannequins but it wasn’t until the two-parter ‘The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances’ that I knew this show was something special because I was actually genuinely creeped out by a TV show. To this day I still get a little wiggy when I re-watch these episodes and hear that kid in the gas mask uttering “Are you my Mummy?”. And to think we have Capt. Jack Harkness to thank for this creepy villain because he is the one who parked an alien ambulance full of a bunch of futuristic medical nanogenes used to heal fighters on the battlefield on Earth during World War 1. Unfortunately the nanogenes got confused and instead of healing people they created a zombie plague. I would love to see a return of this inadvertent enemy just to see the creepiness factor upped on the show and to see how the Twelfth Doctor would handle them.
