Favorite New Who Season: Season 4

The fourth Season of Doctor Who featured one of my favorite Doctor’s in David Tennant, my favorite new Companion in Donna Noble and one of my favorite specials in ‘Voyage of The Damned’ (just for the POSEIDON ADVENTURE callbacks alone). It also had more of a cohesive feeling as a season than the others. We were on Donna’s Journey and every episode from the goofy ‘Partners in Crime’ to the sublime ‘Turn Left’ were all used to shape and grow the character of Donna Noble. We also got the return of old school villains like The Sontarans and Davros, guest appearances by all of the New Who Companions/Associates as well as spin-off show characters in the humongous finale arc; we got early non-sucky River Song introduced in the two-part ‘Silence in The Library/Forest of the Dead’ episodes; the introduction of Jenny Who in ‘The Doctor’s Daughter’; the great change of pace episode ‘Midnight’; and the majesty that is Wilfred Mott. The fourth season was just one big ball of awesome.

Some awesome picks here. I too love 9 and Donna.

I think Donna gets a bad rap just because of her intro in the Runaway Bride.
