The basic gist of The Enchantress’s origin is that she stumbles across a magical being that grants her powers so she can fight evil. She does so for a little bit but eventually the magic starts to create a “dark side” who takes control and the heroic Enchantress becomes a super-villain. The Enchantress is a pretty powerful mystic when she is good but her powers increase exponentially when her evil side takes over. The Enchantress flips from good to evil for years before she is recruited into The Suicide Squad by Amanda Waller who promises that she will help The Enchantress get control over her evil persona.
Also her real name is just so awesomely kitschy. June Moon just rolls off the tongue. If I ever get a cat I am going to name her “June Moon”. That name is rad.
