Killer Croc

Killer Croc is a Batman villain who has never been a part of The Suicide Squad in any incarnation so I am assuming that director David Ayer just really likes the character and wanted to use him. Really who can blame him? Croc is a pretty cool villain. Born Waylon Jones, Killer Croc was afflicted with a mutation that made his skin scaly like a crocodile and gave him super-human strength. His mom died in childbirth and his dad skipped out on him so Waylon was raised by an abusive aunt in a really tough neighborhood. These were the perfect ingredients to contribute to Waylon becoming a juvenile delinquent and eventually a full-time adult criminal.
This foray into a life of crime led to his adopting the name Killer Croc and running afoul of Batman which almost always resulted in Croc’s defeat and return to prison. I can only assume that it is during one of these stints in jail that Amanda Waller recruited him.
