And before you laugh, yes this version of Blue Beetle is a skilled fighter. Ted Kord is basically just a nerd in blue spandex with a gun that shoots bright lights and a bug shaped plane. Being able to kick butt is this Beetle’s bread and butter. He isn’t the super-powered Blue Beetle that is running around with the name now and who has appeared on cartoons like Young Justice. So for Amanda Waller to not only hold her own but actually open a can of whoop ass on Beetle (even if he was brainwashed) is a pretty notable achievement for a chunky lifelong bureaucrat.
