Ah, Christmas. It is one of my favorite times of the year and not just for the presents and candy canes but also because it is the time of year when TV shows tend to put out some of their best stuff. Friday the 13th Week: All of the Black Characters Killed By Jason Voorhees

Another Friday the 13th is upon us and as luck has it this one falls within the month of February which is also Black History Month. So in honor of the stars aligning these two auspicious occasions together I decided to put together a super-cut of all of the fine young (and some not so young) black actors to have the honor of a gruesome onscreen death at the hands of Pamela Voorhees’ overly exuberant bouncing baby boy.

Happy Black History Friday the 13th!

Krampus Is Coming To Town

Krampus is a beast-like creature from the folklore of Alpine countries thought to punish children during the Christmas season who had misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards well-behaved ones with gifts. Krampus is said to capture particularly naughty children in his sack and carry them away to his lair.

Man the Germans really are a stern people.
Santa Claus may get all the good press but I think it’s past time we started showing some love to Krampus because sometimes the threat of a lump of coal is not enough to keep kids in line and you need the threat of a demon from hell with a penchant for corporal punishment to do the job.
