2. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) – SCREAM, SCREAM 2, SCREAM 3, SCREAM 4

Sidney is the poster girl for the Generation Y Final Girls. She is self-aware about the “rules” of slasher films and she is not the virgin/chaste girl, she’s not a blood relation to some psychotic superfreak, and she is not compulsively nice. She’s about as normal as you can get except she is thrown into an insanely abnormal situation. Sidney is also really tough, arguably a lot tougher than any of the males who donned the ghost mask and tried to kill her.
