I was a big fan of the original HATCHET, it was a nice little throwback to the 80’s slasher movies complete with a big bruiser of an unkillable bad guy in Victor Crowley. I wasn’t as enthusiastic of the sequel despite it starring my favorite modern Scream Queen (Danielle Harris) mainly because the movie took a turn for the worse into the grim and gritty horror film territory. it was like the sequel was inspired by the crappy Rob Zombie Halloween film.
I am cautiously optimistic about HATCHET 3 though based on this trailer because it looks to have carried over the fun aspect of this type of horror movie and it doesn’t look like it as filmed on an iPhone.
