Food And Drinking Water Is In Short Supply But The Booze Flows Freely
So food and water needs to be rationed in Utopia because this is supposed to be the start of a new civilization so having to rough it for food and water makes sense. So why did the producers supply the Utopia “pioneers” with liquor? The most likely answer is that the producers of Utopia know what the producers of shows like The Real World figured out early on…drunk reality show contestants are a lot more interesting than sober ones. And one pioneer in particular does not disappoint as Josh, a 36 year old carpenter from Utah, proceeds to be belligerent, verbally abusive and sexually suggestive thanks to drinking a bit too much of the show provided booze.
