This Show Displayed No Quality Control When It Came To Casting: Part 1

Aside from the regular assemblage of attention starved freak shows that usually make up reality shows, Utopia saw fit to cast Dave, a 31 year old ex-felon who was incarcerated for drug dealing and burglary. Now I am not one of those people who thinks folks should continue to be punished after they have served their time and I find it commendable that Dave wants to turn his life around and the show is open to giving ex-offenders a shot. What bothers me is that they chose Dave as the ex-offender to give that shot to. Dave lists his occupation as homeless/unemployed which should have been the first red flag. the second one should have been that Dave has a temper and it doesn’t seem to take much to trigger it which leads me to believe that if the psychiatric screening of this show was worth a damn Dave would have been cut immediately for having a short fuse. Take a look at Dave losing his mind over having to fit his stuff into one container with the rest of the pioneers. Now keep in mind that Dave starts out saying he is a “nomad” who can travel anywhere with minimal needs yet he freaks the hell out at the idea of fitting his stuff into that crate.
No big surprise that Dave has already been banished from Utopia.

Wow… just… wow…

Get into it while you can because the ratings have been terrible and I doubt it gets that full year run Fox has been anticipating.

Well if it’s Fox then it never had a chance 😀
Not even going to watch Gotham until it’s confirmed a second season.
