JASON GOES TO HELL was the next to last film in the original FRIDAY THE 13TH film series (JASON X being the last one) and by this point the folks behind these films had no idea what the hell they were doing. In JASON GOES TO HELL we find out that Jason Voorhees is some sort of mystical creature with the ability to jump into other people’s bodies effectively taking control of them. He also was so hard to kill because only a blood relative could kill Jason. Yep, they were just yanking ideas out of their asses.

Anyhoo this crappy movie did deliver a really good death scene featuring young lovers Luke and Deborah who decided to have a fun night of camping on Crystal Lake. During the coitus Jason (in the body of a scientist, don’t even ask) stabs poor Deb with a tent spike and then uses the spike to rip her in half. It was the highlight of the entire movie.
