Spellbinders

Kim Vesco, a seemingly normal teenager except for her ability to talk to ghosts, moves from Chicago to Salem, Mass where she enrolls in John Hawthorne High School…a school that has a student body made up of Wicks (magical students) and Blanks (regular human students). Kim finds out she is destined to reform a special coven, falls for a Blank and does battle with all sorts of magical baddie.
I am sure Disney would love to get a bit of that Harry Potter money and SPELLBINDERS is about as close to the Potter model as anything Marvel has in it’s catalog. It also features a teenage female protagonist which falls squarely in the new Disney Princess category as well as grabbing the YA audience that hasn’t had anything to squee over since TWILIGHT ended.
