3. Robin Wood (D.B. Woodside)

The almost boyfriend. I liked Robin Wood as a character. His backstory of being the son of the 1970s Slayer that Spike killed was interesting. His vendetta to avenge his mother’s death by killing Spike had a lot of potential that the show never took advantage of because the show was too overrun with obnoxious mini-Slayers. And as actors D.B. Woodside and Sarah Michelle Gellar had chemistry in their initial flirtations. Of course things never progressed past the first date phase for Robin and Buffy as Robin trying to kill Spike and then entering into a sexual relationship with Buffy’s sometime rival Faith put thew kibosh on them being anything more than friends. But there was potential for more there at least for a little while.
