Aunt Esther (LaWanda Page), SANFORD & SON
Aunt Esther is my personal favorite of all the sassy black ladies that have ever wisecracked their way through sitcom history. Her fights with Fred Sanford were epic and Esther’s portrayer, LaWanda Page, was like a female version of Foxx…as proven by her very filthy comedy act.
