QUANTICO (ABC)

A diverse group of recruits has arrived at the FBI Quantico Base for training. They are the best, the brightest and the most vetted, so it seems impossible that one of them is suspected of masterminding the biggest attack on New York City since 9/11.

An intriguing high concept, an attractive and diverse cast, really great production values and, in Indian actress Priyanka Chopra, a lead who just makes it hard not to be captivated by her every second she is on screen. Sure this show has the potential to completely collapse under the weight of its concept but I am cautiously optimistic based off of what I have seen in this trailer.
THE REAL O’NEALS (ABC)

A fresh take on a seemingly perfect Catholic family whose lives take an unexpected turn when surprising truths are revealed. Instead of ruining their family, the honesty triggers a new, messier chapter where everyone stops pretending to be perfect and actually starts being real.

The only comedy I saw that made me laugh. Based on the life story of writer/activist Dan Savage and pretty much in the mold of the majority of ABC sitcoms like MODERN FAMILY, BLACK-ISH and FRESH OFF THE BOAT, THE REAL O’NEALS has a really smart cast and looks to have just enough edge to be interesting but not so much that Middle America will turn away from it completely. It also doesn’t hurt that it stars Martha Plimpton who I have been hoping would get another weekly series since the end of the delightful RAISING HOPE a couple years ago.

Blindspot sounds vaguely reminiscent of Prison Break.

I completely forgot about Prison Break. The lead character had his entire breakout plan tattooed on his body.
