Friday the 13th Week: What The Hell Happened to Paul At the End of Friday the 13th Part 2?

Well my search has ended and I am just as confused as I was when I started. For some reason the folks behind Part 2 intentionally set out to make a very ambiguous ending that has resulted in a long lasting mystery that will likely never be solved. Did Paul try to save Ginny after Jason burst through the window? IF he did then he might have fought Jason off and then was able to call for help. But could Paul really beat Jason down enough to make Mr. Voorhees retreat long enough for the authorities to arrive the next morning? That seems pretty farfetched.
Or Paul made a valiant attempt to fight Jason and ended up being killed. But even if that is what happened then how did Ginny survive? And where is Paul’s body?
I guess we will never know what really happened to Paul Holt at the end of this movie. My personal theory is that the whole Jason coming through the window to grab Ginny was just a dream Ginny had much like the dream Alice had at the end of the original FRIDAY THE 13TH that also ended up being a dream. And Paul was just already in one of the ambulances by the time we were shown Ginny being wheeled out. And today Paul Holt is retired and lives in Boca Raton with his wife of 30 years, he enjoys fly fishing and spending time with his grandkids.

“Only 8 victims bodies were left in places where they could be discovered…Alice’s body was kept at Jason’s cabin which the authorities didn’t find.”

If the authorities didn’t find Jason’s cabin, then they wouldn’t have found the cop or Terri, which were also kept at Jason’s cabin and are seen there at the end; Teri is pretty much next to Alice’s skeletal corpse. So that leaves 6 bodies that were found. Ralph, Scott, Jeff, Sandra, Mark and Vicky.
